There’s some interesting stuff coming out of Germany the last few days. This drop-top really gets me going because it retains a sense of modesty. Physically this ride avoids the excesses certain German tuners are known for, but under the hood they definitely pump out the ponies (up to 362HP).

Video: Another cool BMW Performance 335i/135i piece

Saturday, 03. 28. 2009  –  Category: BMW News, Main

Spotted this video featuring the same BMW 135i coupe/335i sedan combo that was showcased a few days ago, and realized I hadn’t put it up yet. I really dig the clean look of the 135i in Alpine White, with some subtle exterior Performance cues. Some pretty cool shots of the LED steering wheel in this [...]

For those of you who need a refresher (or perhaps even a first glance?) on where the M Division got its wings, here’s a good start. The E30 M3 still makes our pulse quicken every time we see it. With an unparalleled set of wins across a variety of racing series (touring car, hill climb, [...]

New BMW Performance video/German lesson!

Wednesday, 03. 18. 2009  –  Category: BMW News, Main

BMW Group’s German site recently posted a new promotional video on the BMW TV section of their site, featuring Absatzmanager (what does that even mean?!) Thomas Kohl and a pair of Alpine White cars (135i Coupe and a 335i Sedan). We imagine this ties in directly to the official BMW Performance Power Kit revealed at [...]

Tuesday, 03. 17. 2009  –  Category: Aftermarket News, Main

Japan’s Vertice Design showed their E92 BMW M3 earlier this year at the Tokyo Auto Show, and we just spotted these pics of their stand at MadWhips. Visually, we dig the solidly clean look, especially with the Alpine White paint on black rims. Based on the Japanese language site, it looks like it’s a pretty [...]

We’ve long known the UK is a hotbed of motorsport activity, with more racing history and legends than many countries can dream of. For UK (and European) BMW fans, there’s now a new outlet for their track-focused fiending: the CSL Cup. Obviously we’re all familiar with the fantastic platform that is the E46 M3, especially [...]

Idingpower e92 M3: too much of a good thing

Sunday, 03. 8. 2009  –  Category: Aftermarket News, Main

While there are some redeeming qualities about the Idingpower aesthetics for the new M3 (the front end/bumper treatment isn’t bad, per se), the balance is entirely thrown off by a wing of truly epic proportions. Without even considering whether the airfoil is there for functional reasons (we’d think BMW M engineers would’ve explored whether a [...]

BTW, SEAT: BMW wants its title back!

Saturday, 03. 7. 2009  –  Category: Aftermarket News, Main

While this doesn’t exactly rank as the most shocking announcement of the week, BMW race fans will sure be thrilled to see the official BMW announcements regarding the marque’s continued participation in the WTCC. After a highly successful string of championships, BMW’s teams will for the first time be in the role of the assailant, [...]
