2011 BMW 6 Series renderings

After several series of spy shots that have appeared over the last few weeks, some creative renderings of what BMW’s 2011 update of the 6 Series will look like are filtering out as well. Romanian automotive site Promotor.ro, BMWBlog.com and Andrei Avarvarii all collaborated on some detailed shots. While they certainly take a bit of license, and clearly take strong design cues from the CS Concept with these renders, it at least gives us a good impression of what the ’11 6er might look like. These pics show an interesting combination of flame surfacing on the cars flanks (one of Chris Bangle’s controversial additions to the BMW design lexicon), and an understated rear end. Admittedly, the designers have limited source material to work with for now… Spy shots of the rear have been scarce, and well camouflaged so far.

We’ll definitely keep an eye out for updates, and look forward to seeing Jon Sibal’s take on the same vehicle (hint hint!).
