Spotted in Munich: all carbon fiber Z4

As you might know, we’re currently enjoying an extended trip through Europe which included a stop in Munich to visit the BMW Museum, BMW Welt, and the Munich BMW Plant (more on that later). While roaming the streets near the Englisher Garten, we spotted this first-gen Z4, which clearly was affiliated with some race series or tour. Unfortunately the owner wasn’t present, so the opportunity to use our very spotty German skills to ask them questions didn’t occur, but we did manage to snag some quick cell phone pics.

Looking at these panels, it appears the car is more stock in appearance than the TC Kline CF Z4 Roadster we saw a few years ago. Cartech Knowledge, a German perfomance house, is not known for their BMW expertise. They seem to focus more on the Porsche side of the world, so it will be interesting to see what we can find out about this car. As time permits, we’ll update you… and hopefully we can source some higher quality pics that show this car in a slightly less dusty state!

5/12 Update: turns out this is most likely not actual CF, but a fancy wrap job. One of the folks commenting at Carbon Fiber Gear apparently knows the guys at Cartech, and confirms it’s not real…
