Idingpower e92 M3: too much of a good thing

While there are some redeeming qualities about the Idingpower aesthetics for the new M3 (the front end/bumper treatment isn’t bad, per se), the balance is entirely thrown off by a wing of truly epic proportions. Without even considering whether the airfoil is there for functional reasons (we’d think BMW M engineers would’ve explored whether a spoiler made sense), we just can’t get over the fact that it looks so alien! It does lend an overly aggressive, almost comical, look to the top-of-the-line 3er, but first reaction could easily be summed up as “Wow, an Evo wing on a bimmer… that’s… errrr… novel!”
